Veg Dalia Pulao

Ingredients to make Veg Dalia Pulao

  • Dalia 1 cup
  • carrot chopped 3 tbsp
  • French beans chopped 3 tbsp
  • peas 4 tbsp
  • onions chopped 1/2 cup
  • tomatoes chopped 1/4
  • ginger and garlic chopped 2 tbsp
  • Oil/ ghee 2 tbsp
  • cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • Green chilli chopped 2-3
  • coriander leaves 2 tbsp
  • water 2 and 1/2 cup
  • salt to taste

How to make Veg Dalia Pulao

  1. Soak the dalia for an hour in the water.
  2. Pressure cook the carrots, beans and peas in 1/2 cup of water till 2 whistles blow.
  3. Heat oil, now add in cumin seeds, ginger, garlic, turmeric and green chilli.
  4. Then add onions and saute till its brown, now add tomatoes and cook till it's tender.
  5. Strain water from the dalia and add this dalia into the onion and tomato mixture. Next, add 2 cups of water and boiled vegetables with the remaining water and salt.
  6. Bring it to boil, then cover and cook until its done.
  7. Garnish it with chopped coriander leaves.

My Tip:

You can add vegetables as per your taste.
