These beautiful butterflake rolls are buttery ,loaded with flavors and easy to make too...  when you add the orange glaze on top of the still warm rolls, the flavor is just amazing!

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. For Dough:
  2. Flour 2 cups
  3. Milk powder 2tbsp
  4. Cream 2tbsp
  5. Sugar 2 tbsp
  6. Yeast 1&1/2 tsp
  7. Olive oil 2 tbsp
  8. Salt 1/4tsp
  9. Warm water 1/2 cup
  10. 2 tbsp Butter
  11. For cinnamon filling:
  12. Butter 3tbsp
  13. Brown Sugar 6 tbsp
  14. Cinnamon powder 2tsp
  15. Almond meal. 2tbsp
  16. For Glaze
  17. Castor sugar 1/2 cup
  18. Orange juice 1/4cup
  19. Essence 1tsp


  1. Mix sugar ,yeast and half cup warm water. Cover for 10 min and let the yeast bloom.
  2. Mix flour, salt , milk powder .
  3. Add bloomed yeast to flour mix . Add olive oil , cream and knead.
  4. Add more water if required.
  5. Cover and keep it aside for 1-2 hrs .
  6. Meanwhile mix ingredients mentioned for filling.
  7. Prepare glaze by mixing sugar and orange juice ... Add essence and keep aside
  8. Once the dough is doubled up , punch it and roll it into a rectangle.
  9. Apply one tbsp butter and fold it like we do for puff pastry.
  10. Turn it 90 degree and roll.
  11. Apply 1tbsp butter and roll to form a log .
  12. Divide it into 12 equal parts and shape them into ball.
  13. With scissor, mark four deep parallel cuts .
  14. Apply cinnamon filling into these grooves generously .
  15. Place these rolls in greased muffin tin and cover them with cling wrap.
  16. Allow them to rise until doubled.
  17. Preheat the oven to 180 degree Celsius.
  18. Apply cinnamon filling on top too..
  19. Bake them in preheated oven for 18-20 minutes
  20. Pour orange glaze on warm rolls .
