Nachos with left over chapatis is a jhatpat recipe that is loved by children.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 8-10 leftover chapatis
  2. 1 green capsicum, chopped
  3. 1 medium sized tomato, chopped
  4. 1 small sized onion, finely chopped
  5. 100 gms sweet corn, boiled
  6. 4 tbsp tomato ketchup
  7. 4/5 tsp oil/olive oil
  8. 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  9. Juice of 1/2 lemon
  10. 1/2 tsp chat masala
  11. salt according to taste
  12. For the cheese sauce:
  13. 1 small cup of milk
  14. A pinch of turmeric powder
  15. 1 bowl of medium sized grated cheese


  1. Cut the chapatis into desired shapes. (I striped it with a pizza cutter in the form of a wheel.)
  2. After cutting all the chapatis, deep fry them on a low heat. Remove and place it on an absorbent paper.
  3. To prepare the salsa, mix all the above mentioned ingredients in a bowl and let it rest for 15-20 minutes so that it absorbs everything properly.
  4. To prepare the cheese sauce, heat milk in a non-stick kadhai. Once it boils, add a pinch of turmeric powder.
  5. Mix it continuously, then add the grated cheese and keep stirring it for a few seconds. Once the cheese melts, turn off the gas and let it cool.
  6. Take a plate, first lay the nachos, then spread the cheese sauce first and then the nachos again. Serve it.
