ABOUT Chatpati Gawar Ki Phalli RECIPE

Everyone knows that veggies are important for any balanced diet. But some of them are underrated and they not part regular diet. However, we can make delicious recipes or dishes from these vegetables. One of the summer veggies "Gawar ki Phalli (Cluster beans)" which is underrated used in "Jai Ki Rasoi Se" to make yummy and delicious dish called "Chatpati Gawar Ki Phalli". It can be relished when served with any flat Indian bread or hot steam rice.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. Cluster Beans (Gawar Ki Phalli) - 100 Grams
  2. Ginger & Garlic Paste (Adrak & Lasoon Paste) - 1 Table Spoon
  3. Red Chili Powder (Laal Mirch Powder) - 1 Tea Spoon
  4. Turmeric Powder (Haldi Powder) - ½ Tea Spoon
  5. Cumin Powder (Jeera Powder) - 1 Tea Spoon
  6. Coriander Powder (Dhaniya Powder) - 1 Table Spoon
  7. Dry Mango Powder (Aamchoor Powder) - 1 Table Spoon
  8. Chat Masala Powder - 1 Table Spoon
  9. Oil for Cooking - As per your requirement
  10. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Wash the cluster beans and cut the edges as shown in the picture
  2. Boil water in any vessel, once the wtaer comes to boiling point add the cluster beans and salt according to taste. Blanch them by cooking it for 2 to 3 minutes. Drain it and keept it aside.
  3. Heat oil in a frying pan or kadai, once the oil is hot add Ginger & Garlic Paste and the blanched cluster beans. Mix and cook for 2 minutes. Now add red chili, turmaric, cummin, Coriander, dry mango and chat masala powder. Finely season with Salt according to taste. Mix it and cook it for 2 minutes
  4. Now the dish is ready to be served any Indian bread or rice
