Homemade Rasam powder is very aromatic and flavourful powder which can be prepared at home easily.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Coriander seeds - 1 glasses
  2. Toor dal - 1/2 glass
  3. Chana dal - 2tsp
  4. Cumin seeds - 3 tsp
  5. Black pepper - 1 tsp
  6. Fenugreek seeds - 1/2 tsp
  7. Dry curry leaves - hand full
  8. Hing - 1 pinch
  9. Oil - 1/2 tsp

Instructions

  1. Heat a pan add coriander seeds dry fry it till it changes color, take it into plate.
  2. Now dry fry toor dal till changes color and get nice aroma, then take it into plate.
  3. Now fry cumin fenugreek seeds and pepper till ou get nice aroma and take it into plate.
  4. Now fry curry leaves and take it into plate. Add 1/2 tsp of oil and fry red chilli, take it into plate.
  5. Let the above cool to room temperature and grind it to smooth powder. Let it cool and take it into dry air tight container.
  6. Store rasam powder in airtight container so that it's aroma stay long.
