ABOUT Traditional Rice Pudding RECIPE

This sweet dish is a prasad for Lord Shiva.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Crossed rice 1/2 cup
  2. Milk 1 litre
  3. jaggery 1 cup
  4. Bay leaf 1
  5. ginger 1/4 tsp
  6. Grated coconut 1/2 cup
  7. Dry fruits 1/2
  8. cinnamon powder 1 pinch

Instructions

  1. In a pan, boil the milk. Add in the crossed rice, coconut and continue boiling for 20 mins or till the rice becomes soft.
  2. Then add all the dry fruits, bay leaf, crossed ginger and jaggery. Once again, boil it till it is slightly thick.
  3. Now add the cinnamon powder. Turn off the stove and let it cool. The pudding is ready!
