Traditional recipe using milk powder.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Egg 1
  2. Mixable amount of milk powder 3/4 cu to 1 cup
  3. 1 tsp baking powder not fully heaped tsp
  4. For ras:
  5. Milk 1 ltr
  6. Sugar as per taste
  7. Pinch of salt
  8. Cardamom pdr 1 tsp
  9. Saffron 1 big pinch
  10. Almond and pistachios chopped


  1. First boil milk add all ingredients listed for ras. Simmer the gas.
  2. Knead milk powder, egg,baking pdr and form a dough. Knead for 5 mins. Start making balls and simultaneously start putting them in ras.
  3. After putting all balls, increase the flame for a while, tgen decrease.
  4. Again increase for half mins then again decrease. Repeat this process for about 5 to 6 times.
  5. Turn them with a spoon gently. Cook for about 2 mins on low flame.
  6. Swith of the gas and cover with lid for 5 to 10 mins.
  7. Later when cooled put in serving bowl and serve.
  8. Decorate with almond and pistachio.
