It is type of roti that is sweet and made of flour ghee and jaggery. The kashmiri pundits make it during auspicious day as a ritual.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1.1/2cup wheat flour
  2. 2tabs semolina
  3. 2tabs chopped dry fruits
  4. 2/3cup ghee
  5. 1cup jaggery
  6. 1/4cup ghee
  7. 1tsp cardamom powder
  8. 1/2cup ghee fry roat
  9. 1/4cup milk as per need


  1. Heat pan in gas put jaggery &water stir nicely and let jaggery melt properly. Seive jaggery in a bowl and keep aside.
  2. Now in a mixing bowl take flour, semolina, chopped dry fruits and ghee mix it nicely.
  3. Now gradually add jaggery solutions and knead the flour and make stiff dough.
  4. Now take big portion from dough. Make a ball &flatten it make roat with the help of hand.
  5. Now heat ghee in the pan put roat in the pan and sim the flame so the roat get cooked properly from inside. Cook till they turns golden brown both sides.
  6. Now take a dish and take out the roat in it.
