Ma ki daal

Ingredients to make Ma ki daal

  • 150gm urad black dal(whole)
  • 1/4 katori rajma
  • 2 tea spoon chana dal
  • 1 tea spoon jeera
  • Kasuri methi
  • 1 table spoon dahi
  • 1.5 tea spoon turmeric powder
  • 1.5 tea spoon dhaniya powder
  • 2 tea spoon red chili powder
  • 1 tea spoon amchur powder
  • Ghee or butter
  • 1 tea spoon hing powder
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • For puree
  • 5 tomatoes
  • 1 big sized onion
  • 1 piece ginger
  • 2-3 green chillies
  • Chopped green coriander leaves

How to make Ma ki daal

  1. Soak urad dal, rajma and chana dal overnight
  2. Give 2 whistle on high flame and den for 15-20 minutes on slow and medium flame
  3. Add milk and stir well
  4. Make puree of tomatoes, onion, ginger, green chillies and curd
  5. Take copper bottom vessel put ghee jeera add hing and puree add all spices
  6. As ghee starts leaving side add boiled dal and mix well
  7. Let it cook on low flame, add chopped fresh green coriander leaves
  8. Dal is ready to serve
