Paneer Mawa Modak

Ingredients to make Paneer Mawa Modak

  • 200 gms paneer
  • 400 gms mawa
  • 100 gms cashew nut powder
  • 200 gms sugar (more or less as per liking)
  • 15-20 saffron threads
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder

How to make Paneer Mawa Modak

  1. Mix the mawa, paneer and sugar in a thick bottomed pan. Keep stirring on a low flame till the mixture thickens. Add in the saffron and cardamom.
  2. Put this mixture in the modak mould and press.
  3. Remove it delicately from the mould. Yummy modaks are ready!

My Tip:

You can add yellow food colour to the mixture. Mango pulp or Strawberry pulp can be used in season to make flavoured modaks.
