ABOUT Kesar Mawa Modak RECIPE

We make modak to offer Lord Ganesha on Ganesh Chaturthi.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Mawa 160 gms
  2. Sugar 1/2 cup or less
  3. Cardamom powder 1/4 tsp
  4. Few saffron strands dissolved in 1 tbsp of milk

Instructions

  1. Roast the mawa for 2-3 minutes on a low to medium flame. Take it out in a bowl.
  2. Add the cardamom powder, saffron milk and powdered sugar, mix it well.
  3. Make a small ball from the mawa, place it in the modak mould and press the mould to prepare modaks.
