ABOUT Tadka Bread RECIPE

This is a kind of savoury bread with curry leaves seasoning. Delicious to have it with evening Tea. So simple and tasty to make.

Flour- 21/2- cups
Fresh yeast- 11/2- tsp
Salt- 1- tsp
Sugar- 1- tbsp
Butter/oil- 3- tbsp
Milk/water- 1/2- cup
Oil- 1- tbsp
Mustard seeds- 11/2- tsp
Curry leaves- 1/4- cup

Instructions

Heat water in lukewarm and sprinkle some sugar and add yeast to it. Keep aside for few minutes and let them bloom. When it blooms add 3 tbsp of flour from the recipe and mix well. Set aside to rise a little. It will take about 10-15 mins. When it rises well add it to a large bowl and slowly add remaining flour, salt and sugar. In a kadai add oil heat well add mustard seeds make them splutter then add curry leaves and mix well with the dough. Knead them until it makes a pliable dough. Keep in a hot place covered for about 1 hour. Till it rises well.
Take a breadtin and grease it with oil and dust with some flour. Take the risen dough roll them into smooth surface. place the dough into the breadtin, cover and keep aside for 20 more mins. when it pasts 10 mins preheat the oven @ 200°c for 10 mins. place a bowl of water under the rack and preheat it.
When it heats up place the breadtin on the rack and bake @ 200°c for about 30 mins.
