Veggie Oats Cutlets

Ingredients to make Veggie Oats Cutlets

  • Oats 1/2 cup
  • 1 tbsp rawa/semolina
  • 1 tbsp yogurt or curd
  • 1/2 cup carrot, grated
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped green, red, yellow bell pepper
  • 1/2 tsp finely chopped coriander leaves
  • 1 green chilli, finely chopped
  • 1/4 inch ginger, crushed
  • salt to taste
  • Chat masala to taste
  • 1 tsp oil to shallow fry
  • 1/2 tsp oregano

How to make Veggie Oats Cutlets

  1. Dry roast the 1/2 cup of oats for 2 mins while continuously stirring. Then turn off the flame and let it cool for 1-2 mins.
  2. Grind the oats into a dry power form and take it in a bowl. Now add in 1 tbsp of rawa in oats powder.
  3. Add all the vegetables, chilli, coriander leaves, ginger, oregano, salt, chat masala and mix it well. Next add 1 tbsp of curd to it and make a soft dough out of it. Then prepare small round cutlets shapes and keep aside.
  4. Heat a non-stick tawa, just drizzle 1 tsp of oil on it and place the cutlets to shallow fry. Roast the cutlets from both the sides till it becomes golden brown in colour.
  5. Your dish is ready to be served. Serve it hot with green chutney or mint chutney or a yogurt dip.

My Tip:

The dough should not be very sticky, if it becomes too sticky just add little corn flour or bread crumbs to it.
