Idli Starter

Ingredients to make Idli Starter

  • 1 cup rawa
  • 1 cup curd
  • salt as per taste
  • Eno salt 1 sachet
  • 1 tsp oil
  • water as required
  • Grated coconut 1 cup
  • Green chilli 2
  • Small bunch of coriander
  • 1/2 inch ginger
  • 1 tsp tamarind pulp
  • salt as per taste
  • For Tempering : Curry leaves and Whole red chillies

How to make Idli Starter

  1. Mix rawa and curd. Keep aside for 3 minutes, add salt and eno salt, mix well.
  2. Add some water for consistency of the idli batter.
  3. Pour in the greased idli moulds and steam for 10 to 12 minutes.
  4. For the chutney: Mix all the ingredients in a blender and blend well, add water if required. Temper with curry leaves and whole red chilli.
