Coconut/Milk Powder Barfi

Ingredients to make Coconut/Milk Powder Barfi

  • Milk powder a cup
  • Freshly grated coconut 1/2 a cup
  • butter or ghee 2 tbsp
  • Condensed milk half a tin
  • Nuts of your choice chopped coarsely
  • cardamom and nutmeg powders 1/2 a tsp

How to make Coconut/Milk Powder Barfi

  1. Dry roast the coconut until a nice aroma fills your kitchen.
  2. Keep it aside.
  3. In the same pan, roast the milk powder too for 2 to 3 mins.
  4. Add the coconut and the condensed milk and the others as well.
  5. As soon as you add the butter, the coconut milk powder mix starts leaving the sides of the pan.
  6. Keep stirring and mix well.
  7. Take it off the gas and pour it in a greased dish.
  8. Refrigerate it for about 30 mins or little more.
  9. Cut into desired shapes and enjoy.

My Tip:

Use freshly grated coconut for best results.
