Coconut Peda

Ingredients to make Coconut Peda

  • dessicated coconut 3/4 cup
  • Skimmed milk powder 3/4 cup
  • sugar 1/2 cup
  • Milk 1 cup
  • ghee 1 tsp
  • almonds chopped for garnishing as per choice

How to make Coconut Peda

  1. Heat a non-stick wok. Boil milk. Once boiled, add sugar and stir till the sugar melts. Set the flame to low and start adding milk powder gradually to avoid any lumps.
  2. Once done, add dessicated coconut and keep stirring continuously till it leaves the sides of the wok. Now add a little ghee and stir till it becomes a solid mass.
  3. Turn off the flame and cool the mixture.
  4. Grease your hands with a little ghee and shape the pedas.
  5. Garnish with chopped almonds.
