ABOUT Choclate Boondi RECIPE

Our traditional delicious boondi now in chocolate flavour, very tasty and melt in the mouth boondi.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Besan 2 cup
  2. Sugar less than 2 cups
  3. 2 tbsp chocolate powder
  4. 1/2 tbsp cardamom powder
  5. Ghee for frying
  6. 4 to 5 tbsp of almond and cashew pieces

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl put besan, some water and make a batter of pouring consistency.
  2. Add chocolate powder and mix it well.
  3. Add 3 tbsp warm ghee and mix it well.
  4. Beat it with a spoon for 2 to 3 minutes and keep aside for 15 minutes.
  5. Prepare the sugar syrup by heating a pan with water and add in the sugar. Mix and heat till the sugar dissolves. Heat till you get a one thread consistency syrup. Turn off the gas.
  6. Add 1 tbsp lemon juice for a clear sugar syrup.
  7. Add cardamom powder and mix it well.
  8. Take a pan, put in sufficient ghee for frying. Heat it on a sim gas.
  9. When it become hot not smoking start adding the besan batter. Be very careful at this stage as the oil is very hot.
  10. As the boondi floats on top the oil, completely fried. Using a slotted spoon transfer this fried boondi in the already prepared sugar syrup.
