Veg Korma

Ingredients to make Veg Korma

  • Beetroot - 1, big chopped
  • carrot - 2, chopped
  • potato - 1, chopped
  • tomato - 1, chopped
  • onion - 3, medium, chopped
  • Green peas 1/2 cup
  • capsicum 1/2, chopped
  • salt to taste
  • oil as required
  • Garam masala 1/2 tsp
  • coriander leaves for garnishing
  • Grinding masala:
  • Grated coconut 3 tbsp
  • rice powder 1 tsp
  • garlic cloves 4-5
  • clove 4
  • Green chilli 5
  • khus khus 1/2 tsp
  • fennel seeds 1/2 tsp
  • nutmeg 1

How to make Veg Korma

  1. Soak green peas in hot water for 2 hours.
  2. Grind the ingredients listed under grinding section into a coarse paste.
  3. Take a cooker. Add oil. Add onions and fry till golden brown.
  4. Then add tomato, other vegetables and fry for sometime.
  5. Now add soaked green peas and mix well.
  6. Add the ground masala, salt and garam masala.
  7. Add water just 1 inch above the vegetables and close the lid.
  8. Pressure cook for 5 whistles. Let the cooker cool. Open the lid of the cooker and add chopped capsicum and bring to a boil.
  9. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with rotis.

My Tip:

Add different vegetables of your choice.
