Ingredients to make Vella Kuzhiyappam

  • Dosa or uthappam batter 1 cup
  • jaggery 1 and 1/4 cup
  • Grated coconut 1 tbsp
  • cardamom powder 1 pinch
  • Finely chopped cashews 1 tbsp
  • salt 1 pinch

How to make Vella Kuzhiyappam

  1. Melt jaggery 1/4 cup water and filter the impurities.
  2. Mix the jaggery water in uthappam batter.
  3. Then mix all other ingredients.
  4. Heat the paniyaram pan and pour spoonfuls of batter, cook on both sides.

My Tip:

Very healthy recipe. You can add also as an option a pinch of dry ginger.
