Ingredients to make Eggless Sponge Cake

  • Milkmaid - 400gm
  • Amul butter - 100 gm
  • maida - 250 gm
  • ghee - for greasing
  • baking soda - small tsp
  • Normal soda - small tsp
  • Your fav chocolates - for garnishing

How to make Eggless Sponge Cake

  1. Take a bowl, add milkmaid and amul butter (melted) and mix it very well as much you can.
  2. It can take 15 - 20 minutes.
  3. Now add maida to it, slowly and stir continuously so no lumps are left.
  4. Mix well, if batter is too tight, you can add warm milk.
  5. Now take teaspoon, fill it with normal soda and using your first finger flat the powder and mix it in batter and do same with baking powder, mix it in one motion.
  6. Grease your cake tin, in this batter we can make two cakes, for stylish cake use two type of moulds, after greasing sprinkle little bit maida and fill it with batter.
  7. Now take out whistle from pressure cooker, put this cake tin in a pressure cooker, close it and heat it on low flame for about 30-40 minutes, once check after 30 minutes with the help of knife, if its not sticky it is ready.
  8. Once cooked, take out, keep aside to cool then take out on a plate.

My Tip:

Before adding soda to your batter, you can add choco chips/coffee powder/bournvita/crushed dairy milk for extra taste.
