ABOUT Sama Sago Dhokla RECIPE

Very yummy dish that can be eaten during navratris.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Sama rice 2 cups
  2. Sago 1/2 cup
  3. Curd 1 cup
  4. Rock salt as per taste
  5. Chilli coriander paste 1 tbsp
  6. Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  7. Lemon juice of 1 lemon
  8. Sugar 1 tsp
  9. Kari patta little
  10. Green chilli 4 chopped
  11. Dry red chilli 4
  12. oil as needed
  13. Baking soda a pinch

Instructions

  1. Soak rice and sago separately for 4-5 hours.
  2. Then grind them along with curd and chilli coriander paste.
  3. Add rock salt and leave it to ferment for 4-5 hours.
  4. Add baking soda a pinch and keep it in idli maker and prepare dhokla for 15 minutes.
  5. Prepare tempering of oil, kari patta, red dry chilli, green chilli, lemon juice and sugar and sprinkle on prepared dhokla.
