ABOUT Vrat Wale Aloo RECIPE

Simple and delicious aloo sabji, perfect recipe for fasting with no onion and garlic. In this the potatoes are cooked and crumbled and sauteed in tomato spice mixture.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Potato 2 large peeled and cut into cubes
  2. Ajwain seeds 1/4 tsp
  3. Cumin seeds 1/4 tsp
  4. Green chilly 2 chopped
  5. Tomato 1 large chopped
  6. Rock salt to taste
  7. Water as required
  8. Oil - 3 tsp

Instructions

  1. Pressure cook the potatoes for 3-4 whistles.
  2. Heat oil in a pan.
  3. Add the ajwain and cumin seeds and let them crackle.
  4. Add the green chillies and fry for a min.
  5. Add the tomato, salt and fry till it turns mushy.
  6. Add the potatoes and crumble them with help of stapula.
  7. Add required water, cover the pan and cook in medium heat for 5-10 mins and take off the heat.
