ABOUT Mini Sweet Corn Samosa RECIPE

Corn Samosa is a delicious snack to compliment your evening tea especially when it's festival time. Samosa, an all-time favorite tea-time snack among Indian, is a mouthwateringstuffed deep fried pocket. Samosa has always been the perfect evening snack or starter for a get together for ladies to munch and gossip over. Samosas are filled using a variety of stuffings which are quite spicy in nature. Potato, lentil, onion, peas etc. are common stuffings for the samosas. Sweet Corn Samosa has a slight sweet but spicy taste. The sweetness of the corn when combined with the strong flavored spices form a very tasteful dish. The Sweet Corn Samosa can be baked as well as deep fried, depending on the calorie content required. Samosas are mostly served a green mint chutney and the imli chutney. Sweet Corn Samosa can be great choice for an evening kitty party, for the ladies to chitchat and munch over tea.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. For the samosa Sheet's >-
  2. all purpose flour :- 1cup.
  3. Corn Flour :- 1/2 Cup
  4. Salt - To taste
  5. Oil :- 1 tsp
  6. water for kneading the batter
  7. Ingredient's for Mini Sweet Corn Samosa >-
  8. Sweet Corn Seed's (boiled) :- 1 1/2 Cup
  9. Garam masala powder :- 1/2 tsp
  10. Green chilli (chopped) :- 1/2 tsp
  11. Oil :- 1 1/2 tbsp
  12. Chat Masala :- 1/2 tsp
  13. Cumin seeds powder :- ½ tsp
  14. Gram Flour :- 2 tsp
  15. Salt as required
  16. Other Ingredients >-
  17. All Purpose Flour mixed in water/corn flour paste to seal the samosa, oil for deep frying

Instructions

  1. For the Filling >-
  2. In a pan, heat half tbsp.of oil and roast gram flour until golden brown.Remove from heat and keep aside.
  3. Now in a bowl add Boiled sweet corn seeds , 1 tbsp oil , Roasted gram Flour , chat Masala , Cumin powder , Coriander powder , black Pepper , chopped Coriander , chopped green Chilies , salt as required , Mixed well and keep aside.
  4. For the Mini Samosa Dough >-
  5. Combine salt , all purpose flour , corn Flour together and then properly sieve it.
  6. Put 1 tsp.of oil in prepared mixture and mix well.
  7. Knead into soft dough using water.Cover and set aside for about 20 minutes.
  8. For the Samosa >-
  9. Roll medium sized chapattis of dough and cut it into two from center to get a two half-moon shaped chapattis.
  10. Fold each half shaped chapatti into hollow cone and stuff the prepared filling in cone.
  11. Seal the samosa with the all Purpose Flour/corn flour paste/water.
  12. Heat oil in a wok to deep fry.
  13. Drop the samosas into the oil.
  14. Fry the samosas until golden brown on medium flame.
  15. Remove them and place them on a tissue Paper.
  16. Serve the Mini samosas with Tomato Coriander Chutney.

Corn flour means.....maida /corn starch.....?
