Tricolour Phirni

Ingredients to make Tricolour Phirni

  • Small grain rice 1 cup
  • Milk 2 cups
  • sugar 1 cup
  • elaichi 2-3
  • Falooda sevaiyan 2 cups
  • Pan/khus syrup 1 cup
  • rose syrup 1 cup
  • almond slivers to garnish

How to make Tricolour Phirni

  1. Soak rice for half an hour. Wash, drain, and grind coarsely. Cook with milk till done. Add a cup of water to this while cooking so that rice does not stick to the bottom of the pan.
  2. Add sugar and elaichi when rice is half done.
  3. Let it come to room temperature and then cool it in fridge.
  4. Divide sevaiyan into two parts. To one part add rose syrup and to another part add paan or khus syrup.
  5. Soak the sevaiyan for atleast 4-6 hours.
  6. When rice kheer is chilled serve in in layers with rose and paan/khus syrup as shown in picture.

My Tip:

Layer this dessert when you wish to serve.
