Ingredients to make Tricolour Chicken Fusilli..

  • Tricolour fusilli 500gm
  • chicken boneless cubes 350gm
  • onions chopped 2
  • red chilli flakes 1 tbsp
  • chilli garlic sauce 2 tbsp
  • tomato puree 2 tbsp
  • cumin powder 1 tsp
  • garlic mince 1 tbsp
  • Olive oil 2 tbsp for shallow frying + 1tsp for boiling the pasta + 1tbsp for sauteeing onions
  • salt to taste
  • Thyme 1 tsp
  • Oregano or Italian seasoning 1 tsp
  • Dried parsley 1 tbsp
  • Fresh coriander leaves a handful

How to make Tricolour Chicken Fusilli..

  1. Boil the fusilli with some salt and a tsp of oil. Drain and keep aside.
  2. Season the chicken with cumin powder, blackpepper powder and some salt and keep aside for 10 mins.
  3. Shallow fry this until little crisp and browned.
  4. Meanwhile the pasta is boiling, heat the oil and throw in the minced garlic. Saute it for less than a minute and add in the chopped onions.
  5. Saute them until light pink in colour. Now add the tomato puree. It is purely optional. You can add chilli garlic sauce only instead. I added both.
  6. Add the lightly stir fried chicken cubes now. Mix them all well and cook for about 10 mins. It will be done.
  7. Add the thyme,oregano,parsley and fresh coriander leaves and mix. Serve immediately with cheese or without it.
