ABOUT Tricolour Chicken Fusilli.. RECIPE

An absolutely wonderful pasta recipe from ofcourse Italy. Add anything of your choice to it, it tastes just amazing. Perfect dinner idea and less messy too, hence spares much of your time and energy. Indulge in this on your important day with your loved ones. You will be rewarded with lots of love.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Tricolour fusilli 500gm
  2. Chicken boneless cubes 350gm
  3. Onions chopped 2
  4. Red chilli flakes 1 tbsp
  5. Chilli garlic sauce 2 tbsp
  6. Tomato puree 2 tbsp
  7. Cumin powder 1 tsp
  8. Garlic mince 1 tbsp
  9. Olive oil 2 tbsp for shallow frying + 1tsp for boiling the pasta + 1tbsp for sauteeing onions
  10. Salt to taste
  11. Thyme 1 tsp
  12. Oregano or Italian seasoning 1 tsp
  13. Dried parsley 1 tbsp
  14. Fresh coriander leaves a handful

Instructions

  1. Boil the fusilli with some salt and a tsp of oil. Drain and keep aside.
  2. Season the chicken with cumin powder, blackpepper powder and some salt and keep aside for 10 mins.
  3. Shallow fry this until little crisp and browned.
  4. Meanwhile the pasta is boiling, heat the oil and throw in the minced garlic. Saute it for less than a minute and add in the chopped onions.
  5. Saute them until light pink in colour. Now add the tomato puree. It is purely optional. You can add chilli garlic sauce only instead. I added both.
  6. Add the lightly stir fried chicken cubes now. Mix them all well and cook for about 10 mins. It will be done.
  7. Add the thyme,oregano,parsley and fresh coriander leaves and mix. Serve immediately with cheese or without it.
