ABOUT Coconut Laddoos RECIPE

These laddoos are simply superb and are demanded frequently in my house.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Fresh grated coconut - 200 gm
  2. Almonds - 50 gm
  3. Cashewnuts- 50 gm
  4. Chironji - 10 gm
  5. Kishmish - 10 gm
  6. Makhana - few
  7. Pista - 1/2 tsp
  8. Elaichi pwd - 1/2 tsp
  9. Sugar/Mishri - 100 gm (or more)
  10. Ghee - 1 tbsp (as required)
  11. Mava/khoya - 100 gms

Instructions

  1. Grate fresh coconut and keep it aside.
  2. Heat ghee in a nonstick pan and slightly roast the dry fruits one after one, leave them to cool.
  3. After they cool down completely crush them lightly, keep them aside.
  4. In the same pan, add coconut and khoya, saute them for few minutes then add remaining dry fruits, mix all well. Make sure they don't change their colour.
  5. Turn off the flame and wait to reduce its temperature and change in consistency.
  6. Add Elaichi powder, sugar or mishri, mix them properly and start binding Laddoo when the mixture is a little warm.
  7. Place them on a greased plate or thali and keep them in open.
