5 Star Burfi

Ingredients to make 5 Star Burfi

  • Melted ghee - 1 cup
  • semolina or sooji rava - 1 cup
  • Milk - 1 cup
  • sugar - 2 cups

How to make 5 Star Burfi

  1. Heat a thick bottomed kadai.
  2. Add ghee.
  3. Then add semolina, sugar and milk and keep stirring continuously over the low flame for 20 minutes.
  4. Saute till the ghee separates and the ingredients get well blended and become solid.
  5. Take a greased plate. Pour this mixture and cut into desired shapes when hot.

My Tip:

Do not saute for a long time once the mixture blends well because the burfi becomes very hard and difficult to cut. If you want soft burfis, then switch off the flame when it attains a dough like consistency.
