Deepabali is a big festival for every Indians .we are the bengali.celebrate kalipuja in this time.any puja means lots of homemade food n sweets .pantua and lyancha are siblings.too much popular sweets in bengal..the only difference between then are shapes. Pantua is round ball shape and lyancha cylindrical shape..

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Chena / cottage cheese --chena of 2 litrs of milk
  2. Maida - 2tbsp
  3. Grated khoya --2 tbsp
  4. Sugar - 1 1/2tbsp
  5. Baking powder -1/2 tsp
  6. For sugar syrup
  7. Sugar -- 2 cup
  8. Water -3 1/2 cup

Instructions

  1. Heat a pan .add 2litrs milk .once starts boling add 2tbsp of vinigar.
  2. It's start curdling. Green water separate from chena.
  3. Turn off gas. Pour chena Into the muslin cloth.drain green water.
  4. Tie the muslin cloth.hang it on kitchen tap for 45 mind -1hr
  5. Meanwhile heat a pan with 3 1/2 cups of water and 2 cup sugar
  6. Add 1/2 tsp elachi powder .Stir it continuously till sugar dissolves completely
  7. Bring it to boil.boil it for 5-6 mins.
  8. No need to make any string syrup.
  9. Now take a flat bowl /plate .add chena ,Maida ,baking powder ,sugar ,khoya.
  10. Knead it with your palms til get a smooth texture
  11. Now a take a small portion of mixture.
  12. Make a round ball shape for pantua
  13. Make a cylindrical shape for lyancha
  14. Heat a kadai with enough oil for deep frying
  15. Place pantua and lyancha into the medium hot oil
  16. Fry it till get nice light brown colour on low - medium heat
  17. Now place it into the sugar syrup.
  18. Keep it in syrup for 3-4 mins. .
  19. Enjoy your homemade pantua and lyancha this Diwali.
