Easy Chow Chow

Ingredients to make Easy Chow Chow

  • carrots 2
  • capsicum 1
  • cabbage 1/2
  • Bacon 3 slices
  • chicken boiled and shredded 1 cup
  • Soya sauce 4 tbsp
  • Green chilli sauce 4 tbsp
  • Sweet chilli sauce 4 tbsp
  • tomato puree 3 tbsp
  • egg 1
  • Toasted sesame seeds 1 teaspoon
  • Hakka Noodles 3 packets

How to make Easy Chow Chow

  1. Chop up the carrots, capsicum and cabbage. Keep it aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, then fry the bacon and chicken in it. In the same oil, fry all the vegetables.
  3. Keep the noodles to boil in salted water. Then strain and keep aside.
  4. Next, add the soya, tomato puree, chilli sauce and sweet chilli sauce to the vegetables. Cook it for 5 minutes if you want the veggies to be softer.
  5. Scramble the egg with salt and pepper. Once the noodles are boiled, add them to the vegetables, then add in the chicken and bacon to the pan and mix it well.
  6. Once the sauce has coated the noodles, add the scrambled eggs and stir well.
  7. Finally add the toasted sesame seeds as a garnish and serve it hot.

My Tip:

If you want to reduce your work, replace the chicken which needs more cooking and use shredded spiced chicken sausage available at the cold storage. You can experiment with different types of sausages and salami types available in the market.
