Ingredients to make Kachalu

  • Soaked Imli/tamarind pulp 1 tbsp
  • Boiled potatoes 3 medium sized
  • Black salt to taste
  • salt to taste
  • sugar 2 tsp
  • Roasted cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  • red chilli powder 1/4 tsp
  • water 2 tbsp

How to make Kachalu

  1. Cut the boiled potatoes into thin slices. Then add the imli pulp into it.
  2. Add in the black salt, salt, sugar, cumin seed powder, red chilli powder and water. Mix it well with the help of a spoon.
  3. Kachalu is ready!

My Tip:

We eat kachalu for lunch, dinner and as a snack as well.
