ABOUT Schezwan Rice RECIPE

An easy, spicy and yummy rice dish.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Boiled Rice: 2 cups
  2. Salt to taste
  3. Turmeric powder: 1/4 tsp
  4. Onion: 1 large chopped
  5. Mustard seeds: 1/2 tsp
  6. Homemade schezwan sauce: 2 tbsp or to taste
  7. Chana dal: 1 tbsp
  8. White urad dal: 1 tbsp


  1. Heat oil in kadai. Then add in the mustard seeds and let it splutter for a minute.
  2. Next, add in the chana dal, white urad dal and fry till it's light golden in colour.
  3. Next add in the chopped onions and fry till it's golden in colour. Then add in salt, red chilli powder and turmeric powder. Mix it well.
  4. Now add the rice and it mix well. Then add in the schezwan sauce and stir well.
  5. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve it with raita.
