Red Thai Gravy (Non Veg)

Ingredients to make Red Thai Gravy (Non Veg)

  • 100 grams Broccoli
  • 100 grams carrots
  • 1 red and 1 yellow bell pepper
  • 3-4 baby corns
  • 1-2 bulb and greens of spring onions
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 2 ripe tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic and red chilli paste
  • 1 50 gm packet maggi coconut powder
  • 1-2 stalks of lemon grass
  • 4-5 basil leaves
  • 1 tsp fennel seeds (saunf)
  • A stick of celery
  • A tsp of crushed garlic
  • 2-3 tbsp olive oil
  • salt to taste
  • Paprika to sprinkle on top
  • pepper as per taste
  • 4 -5 Venkys pepper chicken sausages

How to make Red Thai Gravy (Non Veg)

  1. Wash and chop all the veggies and keep them ready.
  2. Heat oil in a deep pan, saute the onions first and then the crushed garlic. Now add in all the veggies and stir fry for 2 minutes.
  3. Make a thin cup of the coconut powder milk with water. Add the ginger-garlic chilli paste to this and pour it into the veggies.
  4. Now add salt paprika and fennel seeds at this stage. Then add basil, lemon grass and celery to the veggies.
  5. Next add in the sliced chicken sausages. (Keep 1-2 sausages aside to garnish)
  6. Pour in water as required for the gravy. Simmer and cook for 10 mins.
  7. Transfer in a serving dish and serve it hot with plain rice.

My Tip:

Do not over cook the veggies, especially the broccoli. You can use coconut milk for the gravy. I used coconut powder.
