ABOUT Steamed eggs (Korean Style) RECIPE

When eggs are steamed in a hot water bath, they give silky texture. They seem like set custard. There are different ways of making steamed eggs in China, Japan and Korea.

Ingredients Serving: 1

  1. Eggs 2
  2. Spinach leaves finely chopped 2 tsp
  3. Carrot finely chopped 1 tsp (1/2 carrot)
  4. Capsicum finely chopped 1/4
  5. Tomato chopped 1/2
  6. Cheese slice 1/2 crushed (optional)
  7. Onion chopped 1 big
  8. Coriander leaves finely chopped 1 tsp
  9. Green chilli finely chopped 1
  10. Sesame seeds roasted 1 tsp
  11. Salt, pepper and paprika powder to taste
  12. Olive oil 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. Beat the eggs well with 1/2 cup of water. Add in all the veggies and cheese, except the onion.
  2. Add salt and pepper. Fold in a Ceramic bowl or any heat proof bowl.
  3. Heat the water. Keep the ceramic bowl in hot water and cover it with a glass lid (preferably) so you can keep a watch. Boil for 10 minutes while keeping it covered.
  4. Saute the onion till it turns brown. After 10 minutes, open the lid and spread the roasted sesame seeds, onion and paprika powder.
  5. Cover and cook for 2 more minutes.
  6. Your steamed eggs are ready. Enjoy it just like that or with herbs and spices of your choice.
