ABOUT Plantain (raw banana) Fry RECIPE

It's n easy South Indian recipe which can be eaten as a side dish for lunch.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Raw banana 1
  2. Turmeric Powder 1 tsp
  3. Chilli powder 1 tsp
  4. Salt as per taste
  5. Cumin powder 1/2 tsp


  1. First slice the plantain into pieces, circle shapes will be fine. Add water in a pan and boil it by adding a little salt.
  2. The plantain should be cooked, but not smashed. Make sure that it's not lost shape. Then, let it cool.
  3. Next add in the turmeric powder, chilli powder, add more salt if required. Mix them with the plantain and keep it aside.
  4. We are going to shallow fry it. Pour oil on a dosa tawa, then place the masala plantain on the tawa. Pour oil to get it fried. Keep the tawa in a low flame. Do the same on both sides.
  5. Once they become golden brown in colour, you can turn it off and enjoy them.
