Mixing oats in smoothie is what I have heard years ago. But seeing it in a recipe in a book, triggered me to try it one day. I was little bit scared that including an uncooked oats grain was puzzling. But it is fine if it tastes good. Dr. Ian had listed a lot of recipes. This is a modified version of his Berry-Berry Smoothie. Having smoothies for morning breakfast is one of the good options. Working people need to grab and do something.

Ingredients Serving: 1

  1. Strawberries - 6 to 10
  2. Banana - 1/2, frozen for 30 minutes
  3. Oats - 1 tablespoon
  4. Honey or Sugar - 1 teaspoon
  5. Milk - 1/4 cup
  6. Chia Seeds - 1 teaspoon, after soaking
  7. Water - 1/2 cup

Instructions

  1. Take strawberries, oats, banana and chia seeds in a blender.
  2. Add little honey or sugar and make them into a puree.
  3. Add milk and water and grind them to a smoothie.
  4. Serve it after chilling.
