In winters my mum used to make and store alsi pinni in a tin box. I being the naughtiest used to steal some for myself and my siblings

Ingredients Serving: 20

  1. Alsi (flax seeds) - 500 gms.
  2. (21/2 cup) Wheat flour - 500 gms.
  3. (21/2 cup) Desi ghee - 400 gms.
  4. (2 cup) Jaggery or sugar - 750 gms.
  5. Cashews and Pistachios 100gms each
  6. 1 table spoon Raisins
  7. 15 green cardamoms peeled and crushed

Instructions

  1. Roast alsi and grind to a fine powder.
  2. Roast flour in ghee.
  3. put jaggery in water let it dissolve. Cook to get a syrup.
  4. Add flour and dry fruits. Mix well. let it cool down. Then make small balls out of it. Store in an airtight container.
