Ingredients to make Gur alsi pinni

  • Alsi (flax seeds) - 500 gms.
  • (21/2 cup) wheat flour - 500 gms.
  • (21/2 cup) Desi ghee - 400 gms.
  • (2 cup) jaggery or sugar - 750 gms.
  • Cashews and pistachios 100gms each
  • 1 table spoon raisins
  • 15 green cardamoms peeled and crushed

How to make Gur alsi pinni

  1. Roast alsi and grind to a fine powder.
  2. Roast flour in ghee.
  3. put jaggery in water let it dissolve. Cook to get a syrup.
  4. Add flour and dry fruits. Mix well. let it cool down. Then make small balls out of it. Store in an airtight container.

Cook on low flame to get good pinnis
