Ingredients to make Ghathi(sattu kachori)

  • For dough -1 1/2 cup maida
  • oil 1/2 cup
  • salt to taste
  • water to Kneed
  • For filling- Sattu 100 gm
  • Chopped onion 4 medium size
  • green chillies 3-4 finely minced
  • garlic cloves 8-10 finely minced
  • cumin seed 1/2 tsp
  • Ajwain 1/2 tsp
  • saunf 1/2 tsp
  • Mangrail 1/2 tsp
  • Mustard oil 1 Tbsp
  • Stuffed red chilli pickle 1 piece
  • lemon juice 1 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • oil for Deep frying

How to make Ghathi(sattu kachori)

  1. Mix oil and salt in the maida and knead a dough and cover it and keep aside
  2. Mix all the ingredients in the sattu and rub well with your hands so that it is mixed well
  3. Make lemon size balls from the dough
  4. Take a dough and roll it circle a little
  5. Take 2 tsp filling and keep in the centre of small circle and bind it properly and make fine ball while binding it.
  6. Prepare other balls in the same way.
  7. Heat oil in a kadhai for deep frying
  8. When oil is heated fry it on medium flame till kachori becomes golden brown.
  9. Pack in the lunch box with pickle , chutney or fried green chillies
