Veg Rice Sevai

Ingredients to make Veg Rice Sevai

  • rice sevai - 1 pack (use according to requirement)
  • Carrost - 4 grated
  • Sprouts - half cup (I used moth sprouts /also called matki)
  • onions - 2 finely chopped
  • tomatoes - 2 cut small
  • ginger - half inch piece finely chopped
  • green chillies - 2 finely chopped
  • curry leaves - few
  • mustard seeds - 1tspn
  • oil - abt 2 tbspn
  • coriander leaves for garnish
  • salt to taste
  • turmeric powder - half tsp

How to make Veg Rice Sevai

  1. Take a big vessel.Keep water to boil.when it starts boiling put little salt in it. Add the required rice sevai quantity in it.Cook according to the instructions given on the packet. Drain & keep aside.
  2. Take a kadai put oil & when oil gets hot add mustard seeds.
  3. After it splutters put the curry leaves, green chilly & ginger and saute well for a minute
  4. Then add the chopped onions
  5. Cook for a few minutes and then add turmeric powder and salt.
  6. Put chopped tomatoes and mix well till soft.
  7. Add grated carrots and sprouts. cook for a few minutes
  8. When done. Put the boiled rice sevai in it.
  9. Gently mix well & turn off the gas
  10. Garnish with coriander leaves
  11. Serve hot with chutney or enjoy plain
