Dry Aalo

Ingredients to make Dry Aalo

  • 10-12 small size boiled potato cut into cubes
  • 8-10 green chillies crushed in chilly cutter
  • ginger crushed
  • 2 onion finely chhoped
  • curry patta few springs
  • fresh coriander leaves
  • 1/4 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1/4tsp cumin seeds
  • asafoetida a pinch
  • oil 2 tbsp
  • 1/4 tsp amchoor powder
  • salt to taste

How to make Dry Aalo

  1. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan and add curry patta, mustard seeds, cumin seeds and asafoetida
  2. Add turmeric powder and add crushed green chilly and ginger
  3. then add onion and saute till light pink colour
  4. now add boiled potatoes
  5. add coriander powder and salt cook for 2 min
  6. add amchoor powder and mix well
  7. add finely chopped coriander leaves
  8. ready to serve with paratha or phulka or as you like

My Tip:

Potatoes should not be boiled too much
