Winter special authentic dessert gud lapsi is very healthy, delicious in taste and very popular in Rajasthan.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 1/2 cup ghee
  2. 3/4 cups whole wheat flour or atta
  3. 1 tsp cardamom powder
  4. 3/4 cup jaggery
  5. 1 and 1/2 cups water

Instructions

  1. In a pan, mix jaggery and water on medium flame until the jaggery dissolves completely.
  2. In a heavy bottomed pan, heat the ghee on a medium flame.
  3. Once the ghee melts add the flour and roast on low heat, until the wheat flour colour changes into a golden brown colour and comes aroma.
  4. Now pour melted jaggery into wheat flour.
  5. Whisk well until the mixture turns smooth and cook for a minute more.
  6. At last add cardamom powder and mix. Serve.
