Alfalfa Sandwich

Ingredients to make Alfalfa Sandwich

  • Alfalfa sprouts - 1/4 cup
  • Bread - 4 slices
  • cucumber - 1, sliced
  • tomatoes - 2, sliced
  • Mayonnaise - 1/4 cup
  • Seasonings if required

How to make Alfalfa Sandwich

  1. To make alfalfa sprouts, wash and soak the seeds for 6-7 hours. Then drain the water and tie in a muslin cloth and leave for another 12 hours or overnight.
  2. Spread mayonnaise on two slices of bread, sprinkle the alfalfa sprouts, keep cucumber and tomato slices. Add the seasonings if using, Cover with the other bread slices.
  3. Enjoy your sandwich.

My Tip:

If there are leftover sprouts, put in an airtight container and keep in the refrigerator. You can use them for 4-5 days.
