Amla pickle,is very healthy and tastes divine ,is soaked in lime juice

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 250gms amla
  2. 4 tbsp red chilli powder
  3. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  4. 1 tsp roasted and powdered methi seeds
  5. 1 tsp roasted and powdered cummin seeds
  6. 1/2 tsp asfoetida
  7. 1/2 cup sesame oil
  8. Juice of 4 big lemons
  9. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Take kadai heat oil,add the amla and keep frying in low heat . add turmeric and salt.
  2. When the amla pieces are cooked switch off the gas
  3. Let it remain for 10 minutes
  4. Add red chili powder,jeera and methi powder,add lime juice and leave it for a day. fill in a jar.
  5. Refrigerate. It can be kept for a fortnight.
