ABOUT Sweet Kanji (Ganji) RECIPE

This sweet kanji, made of rice, moong dal and jaggery is so soothing and comforting, especially during winters. You just have to have a bowl of warm sweet kanji to feel refreshed and cozy.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Rice 1 cup
  2. Moong dal (whole or split) 3/4 cup
  3. Jaggery 3/4 Cup
  4. Fresh coconut (Grated) 1/2 cup
  5. Salt 1tsp
  6. Ghee 2 tbsp
  7. Water 4-5 cups

Instructions

  1. Wash and drain the rice and moong dal. .
  2. Pressure cook the rice and moong dal with enough water and salt for 10 minutes.
  3. Once done, add the grated jaggery and coconut and mix well.
  4. Drizzle little ghee on top.
  5. Serve hot.

This looks like a perfect winter comfort in a bowl..how i would love to take this in my hands and curl under the blanket... heaven!
