A very old but self thought of dish with Curry leaves giving this left over Rotis a new taste .Sumptuous saute of tomatoes and curry leaves with spices, the Roti bits are cooked to make it a complete tasty meal for all age groups

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Kadi Patta/Curry leaves a small bowl
  2. 2 Paranthas /Rotis left over
  3. 2 ripe big Tomatoes
  4. 1 tspn crushed garlic
  5. 1/4 tspn turmeric powder
  6. 1/2 tsp Cumin powder
  7. 1tsp red chilli powder
  8. Salt to taste
  9. 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
  10. 1/2 tsp cumin whole
  11. 1/4 tsp Coriander powder
  12. 1 1/3 tbsp Oil
  13. Coriander leaves to garnish
  14. 1 small chopped onion to garnish
  15. 1-2 pieces of lemon (for juice)


  1. Make small pieces of the parathas or roti left over
  2. Chop tomatoes fine
  3. Wash the curry leaves
  4. In a deep pot heat oil ,splutter whole cumin and mustard seeds
  5. Add crushed garlic and saute
  6. Add curry leaves now
  7. Add chopped tomatoes
  8. Add salt and turmeric to these curry leaves and tomatoes and mix well
  9. Add the red chilli powder and cumin powder and mix well
  10. Add the Roti pieces now
  11. Add a glass of water and mix well
  12. Cover cook till Roti mixes well and all of it softens
  13. Sprinkle corriander powder mix well cook on low heat for 5minutes
  14. Garnish with green coriander leaves
  15. Add chopped onions to and enjoy hot with lime juice squeezed on it
