ABOUT Garlic Butter Prawns RECIPE

A really easy quick party dish that is a big hit with everyone! Spicy, sour and full of flavour - a must for all prawn lovers!

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 12 to 15 - shrimp or prawns (medium to large)
  2. 1.5 to 2 Tbsp - Oyster sauce
  3. 1 Tbsp - Soya sauce
  4. 1 Tbsp - Fish sauce
  5. garlic minced - 5-7 cloves (as per taste)
  6. Lemon juice - 1 tbsp
  7. Butter for stir Frying
  8. 3 fresh red chili minced or 2 tsp dried crushed red chili
  9. Handful of fresh coriander finely choppped


  1. Marinate the prawns: In a big bowl mix together oyster sauce, soya sauce, fish sauce, garlic, lemon juice, and chili.
  2. Mix the shrimps or prawns in this sauce, rubbing it in well - and leave for 15 minutes.
  3. Heat butter in a kadhai or deep dish pan and add the prawns including all the marinade.
  4. Stir fry till cooked (do not over cook or it will become rubbery).
  5. Switch of the gas and garnish with coriander.
