Linseed Chikki

Ingredients to make Linseed Chikki

  • Linseed 1 cup
  • jaggery 100 gram
  • fennel powder 1 pinch
  • ginger powder 1pinch
  • ghee 1/2 tea spoon

How to make Linseed Chikki

  1. Roast Linseed in a pan till the seeds crackle
  2. Heat jaggery in a pan with a little ghee. Let it melt. Cook further to get a thick syrup. Drop in abowl of water. If it crystalises, it is done
  3. Mix linseed.
  4. Mix a pinch of fennel and ginger powder
  5. Spread this mixture in a greased tray
  6. Allow to set for half an hour
  7. Healthy linseed chikki is ready.

My Tip:

You may use almond along with flaxseeds to make chikki
