Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 cup besan
  2. 1 Medium Onion, Finely Chopped
  3. 1 green chilli
  4. 1 tablespoon green coriander leaves
  5. 1 tablespoon whole corainder seeds
  6. 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Water to make batter


  1. Chop the green chilli finely
  2. Chop the green corainder leaves finely.
  3. Add these to the Besan.
  4. Add salt, red Chilli Powder,onion, corainder seeds.
  5. Mix well.
  6. Add water to make a medium thick batter.
  7. The batter should be thicker than idli batter.
  8. Heat oil for deep frying.
  9. When the oil is heated up, fill 2 tablespoon and add to the Bhajiya batter.
  10. Whisk well.
  11. Now, Take about 1 heaped tablespoon batter and fry on medium flame.
  12. Cook till slight color change.
  13. Use up all the batter and fry up big bhajiyas.
  14. Let cool for a while.
  15. Now, break up all the bhajiyas into small pieces.
  16. One big bhajiya will yield about 4-5 small pieces.
  17. Now, deep fry them on medium flame till golden brown.
  18. Serve with pav and spicy green chutney.
