Capsicum Masala

Ingredients to make Capsicum Masala

  • onion - 2 big
  • tomatoes - 2 big
  • ginger -small piece
  • garlic -7 cloves
  • capsicum - sliced 1 cup
  • coriander leaves - 1 cup
  • oil - 2 tablespoons
  • cardamom -1 piece
  • cinnamon - 2 pieces
  • saunf -1 spoon
  • chilli powder -1 spoon
  • coriander powder- 2 spoons
  • Milk -1/2 cup
  • cashews - 5-6 no's

How to make Capsicum Masala

  1. Wash capsicum well remove seeds ,wash again and slice it .Slice should not be either too big or small.
  2. It should be medium.keep it aside
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a pan and fry cinnamon,cardamom and saunf for few seconds and saute onions till light brown.
  4. Now add ginger,garlic and tomatoes one by one. Fry till oil comes up .Turn off flame and let it cool down for sometime.
  5. Now blend this along with coriander leaves and cashews to a fine paste. No need to add water
  6. Heat left over oil and fry sliced capsicum for 2 minutes.Now add grounded paste ,salt and water as required.
  7. Add chilli powder and coriander powder and let it boil till nice smell comes out.
  8. Add milk and stir Finally
  9. Once it is done turn off flame and transfer to serving bowl
  10. Serve hot with Roti,rice and dosa

My Tip:

Add fresh cream
