Bhel Pops

Ingredients to make Bhel Pops

  • Murmura or puffed rice 1cup
  • Boiled mashed aloo 1cup
  • chickpeas boiled crushed 1/3cup
  • Finely chopped onion 3tbsp
  • Green chilli 1
  • coriander leaves chopped 2tbsp
  • salt
  • Red chilli powder 1tsp
  • Chatmasala 1tsp
  • cornflour 4tbsp
  • Sev 1/2cup
  • oil for frying
  • tamarind chutney for serving
  • mint chutney 1tsp

How to make Bhel Pops

  1. Take a vessel and add potatoes, Chickpeas, mint chutney, salt, chilli powder, onions, coriander leaves, red chilli powder, Chatmasala and make a dough
  2. Make a not so thick cornflour paste by adding water to cornflour. Keep aside
  3. Roast puffed rice.keep in a plate .mix sev to it
  4. Heat oil for frying
  5. Dip balls in paste to coat it with puffed rice and sev mix
  6. Deep fry it on a medium flame till they become crisp
  7. Serve with Tamarind chutney
