Onion Tamarind Chutney

Ingredients to make Onion Tamarind Chutney

  • onion big - 2
  • Kashmiri red chilli - 5
  • tamarind - size of a lemon
  • salt to taste

How to make Onion Tamarind Chutney

  1. Soak the tamarind in 1/2 cup water to make a pulp.
  2. Fry Kashmiri red chilli with little oil. Keep aside
  3. Chop onions roughly and add it to the mixer with fried red chillies and salt. Make a coarse paste.
  4. Squeeze the tamarind and discard the pulp. Add the onion paste into the tamarind water and mix well.
  5. Chutney is ready to serve.
  6. No need to store this chutney in fridge. Stays good for 2-3 days.

My Tip:

Adjust the quantity of red chilly and tamarind as per your taste
